Two things here Matt, 1st, how did you get the ignition leads to lay next to each other like that, as they come out of my head, they are 2 on the top & 2 on the bottom, so how did you get them side by side ?
Also, any chance of getting me one of them chrome intake pipes made, they look the dogs danglies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Paul. The OE wires have plastic wire-separators at the cover-exit & just after, & again further down-the-line which stack the wires as you describe. You have to remove all of these separators & replace them with 4-abreast ones.

The intake pipe is from the former Bill Luton enterprise.

Clean looking there Matt. :smt023

Nice plated screws and washers you use.

Are you going to embed the new brake light into the spoiler later?

Nah. I always resented the US 3rd-brake-light law which has afflicted every car sold in this country since 1986. I resent it because it was not equally applied to trucks & vans. Why, I ask you?

I am very open to letting cars into my traffic lane (the ONLY person out of 5 million residents!), but I will do anything short of rubbing fenders to keep trucks & vans from getting in front of me. The reason is, I lose all sense of what is going on in front of me, except for the bumper-sticker on the back of the pickup I'm following. Sorry truck & van drivers, but being aware of traffic conditions in front of you is essential information for driving safely.

BTW I shoved the electric-plug inside the spoiler & plugged the hole using white liquid-electrical-tape, which not only is a close colour match but has a very shiny sheen just like polished paint. It also keeps water from getting inside the spoiler while allowing you to peal it off if you ever decide to reinstall the light. I could also mount about 4 of those really small aftermarket driving-lights into the housing in lieu of the red-plastic panel, and use a relay activated by the backup-lights to turn them on. That way when I put the car in reverse I'd have a multi-focused, very bright, extremely wide field of vision. I might never back-over anyone again; by mistake. :smt095 Hey, or I could aim them right into the eyes of a tailgater. That'd be worth an extra dash-switch. Either would be way cooler than having a 3rd brake-light! (and actually do-able by moi, 00-Matt, or am I Q?)

Small pipes like that cost from $15 to $35 dollars @ Jet Hot. Even that is a big increase VS what whey used to charge a few years ago. Price went up a lot after their main plant in Mississippi was closed 18-months post hurricane Katrina.

Getting an entire exhaust including mufflers done is over $200.

The last order I sent in was $375 & took 2-months over the estimate, as the job was done at the MS-plant after being 1st-sent to the CA-plant.

I would imagine they have their act together now.

I bought 3 cans of custom mixed Norfolk Yellow spray paint ($26/can!) to spray the black middle brake housing the same colour as the rest of the car; as all the S2s had this done. Will start a thread on the new car ASA some projects are completed.
