With the search for wheels that continually goes on for our beloved Elan I was curious to know if anyone's been tempted or actually tried going with a slight fatter wheel for the rears similar to the Elise setup? Can anyone speculate as to the impact if this was done?

Wouldn't that be somewhat pointless given which wheels the drive goes to on an Elan?

Good find, should be good enough. The only thing u`ll need will be hub rings as there 75mm bore and stock is IIRC 56.6mm

Probably not going to do anything just yet Geoff. Sadly, I can see the "store in garage for winter" date off on the not to distant horizon. End of October for sure but the roof doesn't come down much when we get past September.

New wheels a re a project I'm interested in but I'll probably wait until the rubber needs replacing before I go for new wheels. I suspect it'll be 17x7's then but that might not even be next year. I'm just on the lookout for wheels to see if anything comes up that's a perfect match short of having them custom built.

seriously are u going after them too?

they make them in other colours too if u r interested.
base colours is gun metal (like mine) and bronze.

they are light too but not as light as volk.

Well I got them from a friend of mine who owns a company called XM-MOTORSPORT. You can find all their details from their webpage or you can check for a local dealer instead if this doesn't work for you.
