Suit case boot rack anyone?!

Mrs mikeydude and me are going to the south of france!!! Hopefully in Laura! (her name for it not mine...Laura the Lotus , get it?)

Now, does anyone know if it's possible to fit a boot rack for carrying a suitcase etc?

Dunno how it would fit round the spoiler or how the brackets would fit under the recessed boot line!?

There was a magazine article recently advertising a waterproof suitcase type bag with straps for vehicles like ours. It was around £60-£80 iirc.
Looked quite neat, I just can't remember which mag I saw it in.

Mikey When are you going? Phil Sloper and I will be in the Dordogne in the middle of Sept and then I will be in the Carcassonne area untill the end of Sept.

You could always do as we are, take no luggage except the wife's!!

Mike, just use soft bags it will take 2 large and 1 small there is still room for a tool kit, plastic bags for small items shoes etc. go up in the corners if you still want more storage run with the roof up and use that area as well I only use that on the way home it is full of wine in boxes have a great time

And Mike take a single water- proof mattress cover, it will sit in the spare wheel, if you have a puncture the punctured wheel is on your wife's lap, there is no other place for it and she will not be impressed with a wet wheel covered in brake dust if you get my drift

Ummm the punctured tyre will fit in the trunk. Just relocate some of the luggage to the interior of the car or in the top storage bin. I've had to do this before.

Much simpler answers to the luggage problem

1 take as much as you want and leave the wife... the DaveT method

2 buy the wife an Elan using all the holiday money so you cannot go away anyway- the DaveEds method...

3 buy the wife an Elan and she can go anywhere she wants and the kids swap seats- the Gary method

4 eat the luggage and save space for more fishing tackle- the PaulP method

5 get the wife to eat the baby and carry it around for 9 months- the Josler method

6 put a spare pair of nickers in your back pocket and dont worry about anything- the Steph- who the **** is Steph method.
