Does anyone know where I can get these parts in the US without spending a fortune? Thank you.

JD
I think you'll need to be a bit more specific. I understand that the seal you need is the header rail seal (the one that is at the front most portion of the soft top).
Driver's side belt equates to our UK passenger side of course.
Rug can be:
A carpet or a Mat or a blanket in proper English and is also UK slang for a wig (hairpiece). I think you'll have to try a different forum for that one my new follicley challenged friend!

The reason for my reference to the seat belt being UK passenger side is twofold.
It's a known fact that these belts wear out and lose the ability to retract without manual help. It's normally the driver's side that goes first because it's the one that gets most use - obviously. So there's a chance that the UK is your best source for one of these.
Furthermore, they're 'nil stock' items as far as Lotus are concerned. So the second-hand market is probably your best source.
They're also difficult to strip/fit as they bass through the B post trim so you may have to replace that too.
My deduction therefore is that you need someone in the UK with a parts donor car that still has its passenger side belt fitted.
I'm still curious as to what you mean about a "rug". Is it one of the car's floor carpets you're after or perhaps a foot well floor mat?

Hi JD,
I have replaced both my seatbelts with new ones from a firm called F.D.T.S. Ltd, in Byfleet, Surrey.
Check out their web site on
www.fdts-seatbelts.co.uk.
My contact was Sue Taylor, and the price was £45.00each + postage +VAT.
I had to send my old belts to them so that the 'hardware' could be swopped onto the new belts. This did not cause a problem as the new belts were sent back by return post!
Hope this is of some help to you.
