hi just like to say that the info given to change the gearbox oil was invaluable and my gearbox feels much smoother for doing it.
I managed it in 30 mins with the use of three 10mm extensions with a flex drive on the end (i have a friend that own's a tool shop! ), but i found that a can of Loctite freeze & release was the greatest help not only for the retainer bolt but also the drain plug, which was extremely tight !

Loctite freeze & release.
Positive, noticeable difference.
30 minutes.
Lots of extensions & bits.
Certainly helped me. It has persuaded me to do mine sooner rather than later

RedLine MTL" (Manual Transmission Lubricant) is a fully synthetic 70W80 GL-4 gear oil (SAE 5W30/10W30 engine oil viscosity) designed for use in manual transmissions and transaxles. The Transaxle Oil refill capacity is 1.9 US quarts.

hi I used two litre bottles (just under) and used Miller TRX fully synthetic oil 80w90

which improved my third gear crunch no end
me in my head, shifting & drifting, mechanical music, adrenaline surge
