What bothers me about this is the "STYLE" wording.

I'll be interested to see if the ebay BOVs are genuine Greddy or knock offs. It just doesn't add up that in the US you can't get them new for less than $170 but the ebay sellers in the UK are knocking them out at £35 ($70). :?

Paul, when yours arrives can you please post up your thoughts?

Thanks

I can't guarantee anything. From the picture, it looks just like mine. I might want to email the seller and ask if this is the genuine one. Ebay and Paypal should cover you from a fraud transaction but who knows .. and it might take the longest time. I'm a powerseller myself (hobby, not auto parts related). I aim to please my customers by giving them genuine products, same as posted in the pictures, so it won't ruin my long 99% positive ebay trading histories, etc.

It's your call :)

But then, we got ours for around $200 from ATP, kinda like a prompted purchase. "Hey, this thing is cool. Let's get it" kinda thing.

Greddy should have their official distributor over there too.

Since it says "Greddy RS style..." vs "Greddy style RS..." (as two of the similar items from other sellers shown at the top of the listing do), and the picture is of the real thing (notice the Greddy logo on it), I would expect the genuine article. If it turned out not to be, then you have the fraud protections of ebay/paypal to protect you from losing your money. Many times sellers on ebay can offer very low prices because of their very low overhead, and other times because they are selling stock that they purchased from businesses that were going under. Go by the feedback rating, too.

The price does raise a red flag to me but who knows, maybe it is for real.

The recirc hose is as I stated. the 25mm 90degree Samco hose. Ekapol and I have very different airboxes than stock though. I'm sure that it will be an easy mod to insert it into the stock trash can.

Ive sent the seller a message asking ' Is this a genuine Greddy BOV ', his answer was ' its a Greddy style BOV ', so i have told him, that if its not a genuine Greddy i want my money back, we'll see what happens ?

Hey guys,
How about this, I'll set up a group buy for BOV. Timing will be tight with this as I only have a limited time in San Francisco next week. I"ll need payment by Thursday this week. I"m going to guess that the price would be around $200, maybe less. If its less I will apply the residual towards the pipe and silicone fittings. Another thing that I need to know from everyone is if they want the generic or Samco hoses. The generic are about 60% of the price of the samco but do not have the option of the recirc hose. Please update the list on the thread as to what everyone wishes to use. things will be moving fast here gents so lets make this work. Woooo Haaaaa!!!!!

Marie, do they do the Samco hoses in black ?, if so, i would definitely prefer black.
Bit unsure what to do about the BOV now, especially after reading those adds Tony has just posted, which are as the Ebay add :?
I'm hoping the seller gets back to me tonight or tomorow & confirms its an original. Hopefully find out by thursday ?.

OK so it's all starting to confuse me (happens easily :bonk: ). Basically i think I'm a yes to all of the above...Yes to a group buy on BOV, yes to the samco hoses (I want recirculating non whooshyness) and yes to any adapters that i might need to complete the job.

Not to throw anything new and confusing your way, but here's a link to an ebay seller with lots of authentic (guaranteed) greddy RS BOVs for $179.99 or best offer (which means he'll probably take 10-15 bucks less), with free shipping to US. He ships internationally, too, but not for free. Although most of them list a particular vehicle in the title, that's probably just to catch people who search using their vehicle type.

I just thought some of you folks might be able to save a little money this way. I would, but I still don't know what the repair bill will be for the work currently be done to Nigel (parts have already cost me about $300, who knows what the labor will be).

Tony, hopefully i will have a response tomorow & will let you all know, think whats got me worried is when i directly asked if it was a genuine Greddy valve, he didn't confirm it, but we will see, if i get no confirmation by thursday, think i will have to join Maries group buy & bite the bullit with this guy

I only want the intake pipe itself and the black hoses at each end (with clips if possible).
I intend to fit my Bailey DV30 to it.

LGM,

If a group buy is organised for the BOV then can I please tag on?

Neil,

You are aware that the flange is completely different to a Bailey fitting?

I expected it would be, but I'm sure I can make an adaptor for it.

Enwright,
I'd do the Greddy BOV. Install will be much simpler than having to build an adapter. I have a call in to the distributor for Greddy to see if I can get a better price. I should have more info later today.
