Alloy Indicator Stalks

Postby superdave » Thu 11.10.2007, 10:55

Has anyone fitted them to the Elan? The fitment is the same as the Esprit S4 onwards as shown in this picture but I haven't seen them fitted to the Elan?

Please do as I like the look of them too..

Looks like it will give the car a more modern look.

Could the 'Hokey-Cokey' actually be what it's all about?

theyre about £30 off ebay
and yes they are easy to fit......
I however didnt like the way they were done insitu ( the instruction basically tell you to push back the rubber collar where the stalk goes into the column shroud and then take yer dremmel to the stalk)
I got a pair of nova/astra/cavalier/carlton stalks off ebay for £2 and the then chopped the ends off on the bench.....then attatched the stalks to them.......
I then took the steering wheel off took the shroud off and they just clip in and out.........
the only reason I did it this way is because I was doing the white dial conversion and did it all at the same time......
I'll post some pics up when I get home
cheers
G

Sorry for going off topic.

But I love the white dial kit.

Is it still avilable.

I put one on My GTiR but was not keen on pulling the needles off.

they look very good ing the light but the illumination isnt 100% convincing
I get a bit of light from round the edges of the FBT and it didnt improve the overall light on the main cluster......although it didnt make it any worse :-D
