It won't happen if you don't ask--how cool would it be if they agreed! Might even be worth flying over to see!

I had a rolling road session yesterday organised by a local car club.
Unfortunately I missed a trick and forgot to take my laptop to take a scan whilst it was being done!
Anyway, here are the figures (taken in 4th gear)
Engine output: 187.5 bhp
Wheel output: 146.5 bhp
Max power at 103 mph or 6310 rpm
Torque: 153 lbf-ft
Max torque at 96 mph or 5860 rpm
Max speed: 108 mph
Max rpm: 6620 rpm

I've got:
an Everest chip (v4 I think, maybe Alan could confirm)
a K&N air filter (in the trashcan)
a forge recirculating dump valve
a Peco exhaust
and oversize pistons
I'm really annoyed with myself for not taking an Elanscan of the run.

For that setup, 187.5 BHP seems low to me. The various data from my car and that which I've received from others suggests you should be seeing over 200. When was the last time you checked your base timing, as that might be a good place to look for missing horses?
The ElanScan run would have been good to see.

I agree! Base timing can make all the difference and you should have done an ElanScan run!

The base timing is fine. I regularly check that - every 2 to 3 weeks or so! It was done last wednesday evening! (Believe it or not, it nearly always needs slight adjustment! - So check yours too! )
Reading on the forum, there is a general consensus that most of the readings taken were very conservative to say the least - the 4wd cars coming out even worse than the 2wd.
Some cars came out as expected, but most were well under what would be expected considering the mods that they were carrying!
There is also a feeling that the operators were not very competent.
So, these results can probably be ignored as lacking accuracy!

When I looked into it, there are many sources of error and a lot of ways of making the "before" and "after fitting an expensive piece of junk" comparison look very good!

Perhaps it would help if the type of Dyno were mentioned by everyone. It's apples and oranges when trying to compare.
Dyno-Jets are the most common here in the US although they can vary a bit due to operator, elevation and other factors but they at least make it easier to compare. I'm not saying Dyno-Jets are the best, just the most common.

Oversized pistons soaking up all that energy? I wonder if it's like a banger going off in a cave in you cylinder block, less power with bigger pistons if you don't add more fuel to fill the space?
