Tire Size Comparison Chart

For those that are considering going to 17" rims (or already have done so) I thought the attached chart might be of interest. It shows what size tires have what impact on the speedo, etc. when installed on 17" wheels. I was quite surprised to see what wheel/tire combo yielded the closest to OEM results.

And, if you start with the belief that the Elan was designed first with a 15" wheel (with the 16" added for the Fed market initially) then you'd want to start with the stock 15" dimensions first which yield even different results.
