I was going to suggest some nice soft lambskin seat covers so that he didn't have to look at those nasty leather ones.

Oh hang on a minute... :?

Also more than happy to swap cloth door cards for leather items if you want.

Thanks for the offer bud, may well be in touch in due course.

Mr P, you are a one aint ya :!:

Veganbuzz, I'm also a vegan and have been for a number of years. My wife converted me and I haven't looked back.
I re-covered my half leather seats with some tartan cloth (I lived in Scotland for a while).
Good luck :-)

Your quite entitled to your own opinium obviously, & SO AM I :!: , but i will refrain from any personal insults, & f..cking yourself is a physical impossibility, or certainly is for me  .
But if your that concerned about cow hide, don't buy an elan, cause every one had it in originally, so your going against your own ethics if you do.

I don't often chime in - but I'm going to this time - I'm on late shift and bored... If you disagree with daisy the cow being slaughtered for tasty steaks and more relevantly car-seat covers then I get that - but the last time a daisy cow could have been killed for our lovely cars would have been in 1995 for S2 #800 - 13 years ago!! The deed has long since been done to all the cows which helped upholster our fab cars and so ripping out the seats they died to cover and getting rid of them is pretty redundant now, and means that poor daisy died for much less. At least if you kept the seats then you are surely doing the animal more justice - morally speaking!?

Ta for listening - carry on argueing! :D

I think this needs to get back to constructive posts only please.........

thanks

I wasn't ripping! And I certainly didn't show lack of respect! I made a perfectly valid comment in the spirit of debate! At least I wasn't telling people to go f**k themselves! ..and constructive posts?? 95% of posts on this forum are off topic banter - that's what keeps it interesting!

Haven't laughed so much since TrueBlue's outings.

But let's tone down the insults boys & girls!

Each to his own at the end of the day, but also I can't believe this is the only place you've been where you've had the p*ss taken for being vegan!

Let's all play nice.

Can't wait to see Dico at Donny with his tartan seats and eating a carrot vindaloo though

I can't help but wonder if the responses generated here would have been different if Brian had merely stated that he didn't like leather seats, rather than be open and honest in his original post.

As a newbie myself, like so many others I have found the technical knowledge and support useful but I can't understand why, in this case the thread has gone down such a route.

In owning/driving a lotus, we are a minority group. As a result, we often find we have to defend our car choice to the majority who don't understand why we do so. Just because this doesn't make sense to the received wisdom of others does not make it wrong.

I trust we all have more manners when meeting someone for the first time in a social setting than has been shown here.

There is a big difference between interesting and entertaining (in the loosest possible sense) when it comes to 95% of the posts on the forum!
