Chessington, Surrey.
I think these are the people who supplied my Green Hood (but under a previous trading name).

Well they did a mighty fine job my car now looks 10 times better than it did. My hood was almost the worst elan hood still on the road and now for for a few days at least, its the best elan hood on the road.

I recomend the car hood warehouse not cheap at £650 fitted but a damn fine job.

Two other cars in with mine a MX5 and a boxter both looked mint at the end but apparently while my poor engineer wrestled with the elan all day his mate did the MX5 and the Boxter in the same time. Gauling fact though MX-5 hood £250 fitted (PVC) Boxter hood £550 fitted (Mohair) Elan Hood £650 fitted (Mohair) oh the price of exclusivity.... 8)

I'll sort some out. Won't be until Sunday now as I'm away untill then...

You watch some chavy swine will put a knife through it while I'm away

Its a shame I dont have any before pictures because the old 'un was spectacularly bad! It had stretched so it looked like it was two sizes too big and was covered in splits and frayed stitching. It was a real minger.

New seals, or re-used the old ones?

Did they obtain them, or is it down to you to source the parts?

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

Is that because the Elan was more awkward or unusual than the other 2?

When my hood was fitted the guy doing it alluded to the fact that they take a lot longer than run-of-the-mill soft tops.

They're just up the road from me but I haven't used them yet. I have discussed replacing the rear plastic screen with them and they were very helpful. They've done a lot of these (Elans and others) and can show before/after pics. Think they will even come to you to do it.

I'm trying the Renovo polish treatment first before deciding whether to take it further.

Terribly sorry I've been away. Not taken any pics yet as my camera is not very well. But the roof is still looking good and is reasonably water tight
Currently Elan-less and on the lookout for a good one.
