Throttle cable

Postby mlewi6 » Mon 18.02.2008, 20:03

I am the new and proud owner of a 65,000mile '91 Elan. Second outing, the accelerator pedal was stuck, and after pushing down on it, gave way. I am assuming that I have a cable problem of some kind. I checked at the other end of the cable, it was attached but loose. My question is, how the heck do I get to the place where the cable must connect to the pedal. Many thanks,

Not sure, but cables usually route to the correct location in the bulkhead to just poke through & loop over the top of the cable.

Welcome to the forum. I hope (& expect) you get a proper answer quite soon.

Get yourself to Donington if possible. The convoy should be something special.

If you put a location in your profile, you may get an offer of help with your cable.
