Hi I have not seen the new style LED lights in person, but they seem to be a straight replacement. worth checking with Lotus to find out if the plugs are any different on the rear.
Tony thats interesting to note that you did not have to do any filing, all Elans are truely unique
Regards
Chris

The LED lights are the same diameter as the earlier bulb versions and mount in the same way. I'm not sure about the depth but memory tells me they are the same again, as far as I know the LED and earlier rear lights are completely interchangeable. Best person to comment is SurferPhil, as he has made rear panels to take all the S2 Elise lights.

The LED's are slightly deeper than the bulbs and weigh a lot less, but are prone to failing.

Great looking conversions you have there. When I was looking at buying an elan, this would have been high on my to-do list. (I ended up with a rev5 mkII MR2 instead)
Anyway, I'm looking at using the Elise S2 '06 LED lights for a conversion on my MR2. Would someone be able to measure them for me and tell me what diameter they are? (obv. the bulb units are the same size, so either unit will do)
Many thanks in advance...

Hi all,
I am fitting one of Chris Phipps panels but did not want to use elise lights. I think I have found an excellent alternative from stafford vehicle components. They are the premier led lights, mix and match. I recieved mine to-day and am over the moon with them. If you oder any make sure you buy the chrome bezel they look absolutely great, a real good fit. When fitted you will have four side lights four brake lights, plus indicators fog light and reverse. I,ll post photos when complete but in the mean time have a look before you buy any other lights. By the way they are much cheaper.

Those look quite nice and probably little visibale difference from the Elise lights.

Can you provide links to the product and prices?

Thanks, I've seen these recently and bookmarked them. They looked pretty good, almost identical to the Elise lights and less money. More options too. Probably a better buy than the Elise lights. Are ballasts or any other gear needed to complete the install?

Hi,
The fitting of the lights depends if the hole as been cut out to take elise lights. If it as then a back panel as to be made to fit the light to, if not it can be cut out to suit these lights. I had to make a back panel which was,nt to difficult. I can tell you how to make the panel if needs be.
