Rear brake upgrade to match the front Wilwood upgrade and that can fit the existing space-saver spare (or source a new one).

Man, its easy to throw out suggestions when you know you're not the one who'd be doing the work...... (Sorry Brian!)

Intercooler anyone...... LGM? :-D

I was thinking of going with the ElanLogger but the price may end up out of a lot of people's reach. I think it should be a price that everyone can reasonably afford as it is meant to benefit LEC as a whole. With my experience of the interfaces and ECM hardware mods, I think I can develop a very cost effective diagnostic tool that will not rely on you having a pc with you (ElanScan) or an internet enabled phone to look up the codes on WikiLEC when you're sat on the hard shoulder waiting for the AA (Ailwyn).

I'm going to enter with CheapScan™ and intend to have it ready for Donington!

The gauntlet is firmly thrown down. :D

This does defeat the whole point of this thread! We can all make wish-lists of what we would like other people to do (and I often do :D ). Why not throw your hat in the ring and try to get a rear brake conversion developed - I'm sure that Brian, ESM and anyone else in the know will help out where they can.

Just because someone else has done something in the past does not mean that it can't be re-done. Most of the items that have been listed have a limited availability, e.g. nobody is currently offering a turbo upgrade, roll bars, new intake etc as a bolt on upgrade, even though all of these have been done before.

The end point of this is not just to create something, but to offer it to other members too as part of a limited production run.

I would suggest that the finished products should be supplied by 31/12/08 to allow people to get them fitted for Donny 09, what better way to showcase your acheivement, but this is not a key requirement.

I would suggest that by the end of Feb 09 we should start polling the members in order to get the results in time for Donny.

Great... if you kick off a new project thread and wiki page for CheapScan then I'll put the links at the start of this thread.

Also thinking of ElanFan™ to switch maybe one fan on when the little red needle gets to the vertical position.

Along those lines.....I don't have time or resources to do anything in this competition, but I'd be a buyer if somebody wanted to resurrect andrew ennis' retractable windstop (which, BTW, would probably work in lots of other convertibles) as a bolt-on upgrade.

Hasn't Pete Musgrove of PNM done this in conjunction with Hi-Spec ?? He wanted me to be a guinea pig a few years back but I declined his offer as he had problems supplying me with the fronts, let alone the rears

We'll need to resurrect Andrew Ennis first. He hasn't been seen for a year and a half !

BTW - this is an absolutely brilliant design which is cost effective, unobtrusive and does the job. Just wish I'd bought one of the prototypes when I had the chance :(

Gents, if you've thought about the packaging realities you know there's no space to run a drive-belt for driving a supercharger without cutting a hole through the top of the bonnet... wanted to be sure you have that reality in mind.

And the ElannyFanny™ is well under way to provide overtemperature protection for those with Volvo seat warmers.

This kind of comment is why I have not published my Red Rum Restoration and 'Fast Cat' projects, it just makes forum discussions a painful waste of time!
