You may want to change the thermostat for a new one whilst you've got the coolant drained out. They are only a few quid from halfords and come with a new gasket. (kit HTK602)

You may also want to buy some of the plastic clips for holding the bottom hose against the anti-roll bar. IIRC they are available from SJ's. I used cable ties though, and cut up one of the old pipes as a bit of sacrificial rubber where the new samco hose is attached to the roll bar.

You may want to flush the system - so you'll need rad flush! :-D

And to state the obvious, you'll need antifreeze and DI water (if you live in a hard water area) to refill the system when you're done

Distilled water is ALWAYS a necessity, as even pure Spring water is packed with minerals. They may be unseen to the human eye, but that won't stop them from bonding to & decreasing the efficiency of your cooling system.
Strive for perfection in everything. (given time)
Take the best that exists & make it better. (given inclination)
If it doesn't exist, create it. (God did)
Ignore what I say. (good advice)

Just call James @ Amber, as he knows just which parts you need. I recently swapped out some "Euro" hoses for the proper Fed ones, and he threw-in some additional hoses they'd created as well. James is on top of it.

Just ordered mine from James, blue with clips and the step connector for an S2.

£238 including postage.

30% still applies boys, GEOFF

They only have black in stock, normally takes 4 weeks but they have a set of blue ones coming in, in 2 weeks time with my name on already. They have 2 sets of blue coming in tomorrow but both are already taken, anyone on here?

Woody

From what I understand the S2 has a one piece pipe where as in the SE it's in 2 pieces, so already comes with a connector.

Think the connector is about £14 but not sure.

You have to order it, as not part of the kit like the clips.

The kit is a copy of a SE so we have to have 2 pipes, where we used to have 1.

Thanks Gazza,
Yes I do remember now, but I never got around to ordering one at the time.Do you know the dimensions because there are a lot of very useful car parts suppliers here in Derby, and I could probably source one.
Cheers,
