As noted on my post of 02 Jun 2005 -
I am now following through and selling the LAST 3 bolt kits. I finally assembled them almost EXACTLY as before, merely 2.5 years & 3-back-surgeries later, and with a couple upgrades based on prior experience!
I am posting these on Ebay ASA
Matt RI replies as to his current needs, as I'd previously promised him one. The add will read something like this:
Stainless/aluminium engine-bay fastener kit, Lotus M100 Elan
This kit will serve to refresh your entire engine-bay with shiny fasteners. I pride myself for making this kit easy for the layman to install. In fact that is THE DIFFERENCE in this kit, and what takes the most time for me to do. This is NOT a normal vendor "I do all cars" kit. I am just a man who has owned two M100s over the last seven-years and I have only done this for M100 Elans, and no other car. This kit is composed 2/3rds of stainless fasteners and 1/3rd of anodised aluminium fasteners, subject to the thread-loads inherent per location. I will not sell any more M100 bolt-kits after these, as I am just finishing the work I started 2.5 years and 3-spine-surgeries ago. Please read recipients comments upon receiving this bolt package in the past...

The pictures best describe which bolts are included but I will nevertheless also attempt a verbal description. Each location includes all appropriate & correct stainless-steel washers; whether split, regular, or fender-washers. All fender-washers (these are the oversized/large diameter washers designed to spread bolt clamping-load over an increased surface-area) are mirror-POLISHED stainless-steel. You'll notice in pictures of my engine-bay the "bling" these add!
Locations (included, but not limited to... see pictures for all):
oil-pipe & heat-shield in front of (and above) EGR
EGR pipe to engine block
radiator overflow tank
CAS plastic housing
oil-dipstick "securing" bracket
cam-cover blow-by box (stands proud-of & directly beside motor)
license plate (yes, at the rear of car... why not?!)
Boost gauge transducer (with large red or grey rubber cap) to body
headlamp pod pivots (just up under the headlamp buckets when viewed from the rear)
black metal headlamp brackets to body
2 upper bolts on timing-belt-cover
heat shields - upper 3 fasteners you can see
3 fasteners on upper bonnet latch (bonnet underside)
spark-plug cover
2 metal plates where your bonnet prop-rod rests when the bonnet is open
fasteners holding down the small metal piece the bonnet spring rests upon
fasteners with large fender washers, 2 (1 each side) near the bonnet hinges, 3 in between the headlight pods, 1 under each headlight pod
fasteners near bonnet hinge - 2 on each side
upper bonnet hinge (hinge to bonnet) 2 on each side
forward lower part of bonnet hinge (where hinge attaches to car body) 1 on each side of bonnet
Note that most S2 Elans had 4 bonnet-props of size M8 x 80. Bonnet props are NOT INCLUDED in this sale! Some earlier SE models had two M6 x 80 bonnet props, but most SEs and all Federal Elans have NO BONNET PROPS. This was learned first-hand while selling this bolt-kit the 1st time, and is not included in any Lotus parts manual.
