Wow - not a bad little collection

Did you persuade Dragi to bring his S2 to Donington ??

PS And that's the cleanest floor and tidiest garage I've ever seen !!

Monty

Got my invite

Might let the wife book a trip to see the hills where the Sound of Music was filmed and then give it some "what a coincidence a garage full of lotuses"

Pictures include Type 61 FF, Type 110 Bike and a S1 Elite.

Dragi, what are the 3 Esprits and the little green one tucked in the middle?

Well are you coming to Donington?

Whereabouts in Austria are we talking about?

I drive through it 2 or 3 times a year on the way to Romania - always looking for new places to spend a night :-D
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

Hard to tell but the green car looks like a Series 4 Lotus Seven to me, but I'd be happier if I could see the dashboard.

Rambo,

we`ve been in donington last year. But its not possible to visit
donington this year. Sorry. It would be great to be there once again.
Maybe in 2009.
But we will visit Jim-Clark-Revival in Hockenheim in April.
Anyone else??

Gazza,

my collection includes:
1996 Lotus Esprit V8 (the yellow)
1996 Lotus Elan S2
1993 Type 110 Bike (the winner bike Prologue Tour de France 1993!!!)
1977 Lotus Elite 504
1969 Lotus Type 61 FF (Jochen Rindt drove this car!!)

The red Turbo Esprit was mine till 2004, then i`ve sold it to a friend.
Its still in our Garage.

The also red Esprit Turbo SE is a friends car too.
We share the garage together.

tweetdriver,

the green one hanging on the wall is a souvenier from france.
Its a Lotus 25 pedal car.
It was red with a white stripe, rusty, dented and the pedalsystem
was defect. I have restored it for Jenny-Loraine, my daughter.
Now she has grown out, the car is to small :D

Gazza, Sy V,

the green Car tucked in the middle is a 1996 Westfield Seven SE.
It was definately NO LOTUS, so i`ve sold it in December 2007.

I would like to have a Series 3 Seven. One of those which had the
TwinCam engine. Lotus has built only 13 pices.
So the chances to get on are minim.

M100TWO,

right, the second and the last pictures has been taken in Hockenheim.
It was on last years JCR. Have you been there?

dapinky,

i am living in Hohenems, Vorarlberg. This is in West-Austria.
We have to kms to the swiss border and about 15 kms to the german
border.

The Elite 504 makes me very jealous, much work to do on my 503 but at least the engine runs sweet (touch wood).

Is that the Salzkammergut Dragi ? Great walking country if it is and some good roads.

Dermot,

this is a 1977 Elite. The car is all original with about 11000km on the clock.
And everything is working.
Once i had a visit in Stuttgart to view the Esprit V8 which i was going to
buy. Vito (the prewious owner) showed me his garage. In a dark corner
i saw sitting the Elite. Full of dust, ineffectual covered with a cloth.
One side mirror missing. At his time the car had just 7800km.
On this day i have bought my Esprit V8 and went home with my car.
Vito now drives a italian car beginning with F (not Fiat).
But the Elite was always in my mind.
Vito did not want to sell the Elite. It was his first Lotus.
I have nerved Vito as long as he agreed. :)
But i had to promise not to call him anymore. :D
Today Vito is a great friend of mine ( apart from his italian s**t).
We have overhauled the complete technics (brakes, engine, box)
The car is in realy superb condition without a mark in the leather.
I`m trying to keep it in this state.

Rambo, Gazza, M100TWO and all the other Elaner`s,

the Salzkammergut is in Salzburg. I live in Vorarlberg.
Salzburg is in the middle of Austria.
Vorarlberg is the western region of Austria, and is also a great walking
country. The roads and passes are great to drive.
Especially with a Lotus :-D :-D
How about a Lotus-Party here in Austria?
I can organize some Hotelrooms for you and some LECer`s.
It would be a great pleasure for me.
Your can inspect our Garage and the Lotus`.
I would organize a barbecue - combined with some tours across the
mountains?? :D
