Internal Heater not blowing hot air

I don't know where the valve should be. I have simply been told that mine was missing, so I would like to put that right.
If somebody would show me at Donington, I would be grateful.

it is located towards the rear bulkhead, top of the engine, RHS as you look at the front of the car. Pipework is approx 15mm dia o/s

Apart from one small hose which was well tucked away, I fitted the whole Samco kit myself.
I think I need another look.

effectively if your valve is not fitted your heater would be on all the time! unless it was looped out of course.

Well, the valve really just stops water going through the radiator when the heater is turned down to nothing, I think it's to shop heat just trickling through in the summer etc. by actually turning off the radiator water flow.

As a matter of interest, my heater has never worked properly, It's almosr completely blocked up, in fact it was completely blocked until I blew with all my might through the hoses until it "popped" and a load of crap came out of it... I have used the radiator flush stuf a few times since. but to no avail.

I think alot of this must be caused by people not flushing out the system during the cars life!

I might try this idea of swopping the hoses so the water goes the other way for a while.

I often wonder if it should be left upto the smallest openings to collect deposits....the best idea would be surely to fit an inline water filter!! I wonder if there is such a thing!
