After hearing Sy's magnanimous speech at the Melbourne Arms inviting LEF into the fraternity, we've decided to extend this spirit of openness to our Vauxhall Astra owning brothers.
In many ways the Astra is a superior car in many respects, not least of all for its legendary handling characteristics, and clearly it has almost unlimited potential for cosmetic enhancement (as may be witnessed in the fine example that has has been carefully selected as our new forum mascot - we'll be rotating between Elan and Astra of the week).
The new site design reflects this new found openness, and I hope that you'll all join us in welcoming our new friends to the site.

I don't have an Astra, but by the time you look at the component parts of the Elan, the 2 motors have a lot in common. I don't fall out with this new-found merging of like minded people, but i do own a Vectra, which is like a larger version of an Astra. I think we could cater for those who wish to modify their vehicles to fit personal taste.
As such, perhaps i could be known as a Big Astra Driver And Similar Support / Modified User Group person, and by integrating it into the Wessex branch of LEC (Bristol & Outlying Land Lotus Elan Knowledge & Support group) there is an obvious title of
BADASS-MUG / BOLLECKS
