Indeed, however I have no idea what the standard is either! Just budgeting really.
After thinking about this, I think I'll hold off anyway. My original is in good condition and I'm not sure how taking that off and replacing it will turn out. (images of it peeling away from the heat of the engine...)
Main priority for me should really be sorting Blipi's turbo and bodywork. Her interior could do with some TLC too. She's been a bit neglected for a while so now I hope to treat her a little.
Looking forward to seeing these when they are done!

The hood liner is finished. Attached is a photo of one with a yellow Lotus decal and another showing 1/4 and 1/2 material. All my other liners are 1/4 inch. 1/2 will be unique to the Lotus liners.
Here's a breakdown of the details:
It's made of a special blend of nitrile vinyl closed cell foam rubber that is FAA approved for aircraft firewalls and bulkheads. It will not absorb water, oil, or antifreeze. Its light, about 14 ounces, and is also fire retardant and insulates against sound and heat.
You can wash it and hose it off. Since it’s made for aircraft firewalls and bulkheads, it’s extremely light and unlike the factory liner will not absorb water and resists mildew. It has a smooth finish and the color is black.
Its pre cut to fit. Installation is easy using 3M type #80 or # 90 spray adhesive or other high temp adhesive for vinyl nitrile foam rubber.
It's available in 1/4 or 1/2 inch thickness.
The Lotus decal is 9 inches in diameter and available in red, yellow, silver, blue, or white.

I'm assuming the USA and RoW chaps will make individual orders direct.
If the UK guys can update the list I've compiled below before 30/4/2008 - I will then contact the chap and arrange postage costs for those that have completed their requirements (pending the decal being corrected - well spotted Sy)

I agree but do we know if the decal will adhere to the OEM liner? Can someone enquire at the manufacturer? Does he still have the one that was sent to him?

The factory liner is a bit flimsy compared to mine, but I think it will work.
I did an image search and didn't see too many gold ones, but I can do a gold color too.

I have opted for the thicker material as I think it will give twice sound proofing.
I am away from home for another week so I cant tell how well either will fit under the bonnet.
Could somebody advise so I can make a more informed descision.

I asked Mr. Budd to try attaching a decal to my OEM liner, and he reported:
I tried a decal on the stock liner & it would not stick. Not at all.
I also asked him to measure the thickness of the OEM liner and he reported:
The stock liner is just over 1/2 inch thick.
