Kick the tyre hard - really hard.
If that fails, put the nuts back on, leave them slightly slack and carefully drive round the block - wheel should come loose.

same as, wheel back on loose , lower to the ground and push car from side to side, no need to drive it, if that fails fu--ing big rubber hammer on the tire
