Where have people plumbed the BOV exhaust into.

Straight into air box?

Is there a hole or do we need to drill one

Paul P..... do you pics of exhaust pipe fitted yet.

Cheers

Tony

BOV

Postby woody » Mon 21.04.2008, 18:06

I've connected mine directly into the side of the airbox with a plastic 22mm elbow from B&Q.It's very tight, and means cutting about 1" off either end of the 90 deg Samco hose.Connected the elbow on the inside of the airbox with a 22mm plastic lock nut.Be careful not to drop the lock nut into the intake pipe like I did !

Intake Pipe

Postby woody » Wed 23.04.2008, 09:50

Tony,
No.
Take the new pipe from the BOV around the back of the Engine, and connect it with the tee piece to the short length of black pipe from the overboost transducer to the vacuum connection on the plenium.( a short length of 3mm black rubber pipe that is about 200mm long) Cut this pipe in the middle, and fit the tee piece

Tony,

The only pipe I know of that heads in that direction towards the windscreen at the L/H corner is the washers.

I have plumbed mine into the hose that goes from the other end of the plenum to the boost transducer.

Tony,
It does not sound like the right hose.Look to the front of the Plenum, and on the LH side corner is the vacuum pt with a black hose connected to the Overboost Transducer bolted onto the wing.

Postby Rogerf » Mon 28.04.2008, 17:42

Hi Ekapol,
I presume they're the Samco hoses boxed in the picture as i've just received my BOV and pipe via Ailwyn this morning.
Also noticed the address which is being sent to Mr Gibbons which is not a problem as i work with him.I'll just worn him to expect a parcel soon!
Regards,
Roger

I couldn't believe that the parcel turned up yesterday, so seeing as I'm on holiday anyway I got busy and installed the pipe and valve.

Yes, red hoses are going your way.

I noticed that before we shipped out too. So the address was edited right there at the carrier to go to your correct address that I have on file :-)

So how about some info on how you mated the bailey to the LGM pipe?

Ah, that was very simple but effective - I built up 3 layers of bicycle inner-tube on the Bailey's pipe and forced the two together. Hope it holds!

Oh, OK.
It didn't come with any instructions and I figured it was like an air operated solenoid valve. Easily fixed - thanks guys. :D

Tony, i had to get a 135 degree pipe with longer legs made to plumb my recirculating outlet into the trashcan, but it has fitted real nice in the end. I used a wc outlet connector ( 25mm ) to use as a connecter from trashcan to pipe.
