Nige, for those of us overseas where the payment methods you've mentioned might not be practical, will you accpet a Paypal transfer provided we cover any additonal PP fees related to transferring the cash in and out of your account?

Paypal transfer with the sender covering the paypal fees would be fine with me and I intend to cover this in my PM, the only snag for me is that money deposited inn a paypal account is not easily transferable to a personal bank account, which is why we cannot do the whole lot via Paypal :( . For those overseas, particularly if you want me to send the escutcheons on to you by post I suggest a final, single, settlement once all costs are known and for those from overseas who will be in the UK in Sep for Hethel, I will accept cash at that time if that is easier (as I expect it will be).

Payment from most people has now been received thanks, if you haven't please do so soonest as the Escutcheons are due to be collected tomorrow and I will then want to do the bank transfer to the supplier so they can be shipped to me. The transfer will leave a sizeable hole in my account if it has not been filled before the transfer :( .

Escutcheons

Postby algirdas » Tue 20.05.2008, 06:20

Dear Nige:

I paid yesterday via Paypal. Please confirm receipt. Sy frightens me. The last thing I need now in my life is for him to get medieval on my ass.

Sincerely,

By "step back in" I meant I'd take (and pay for) a pair.
Nothing to do with ritual (or otherwise) arse floggings!

But, if I was to get "medieval" you can rest assured it would be of the finest Anglo-Saxon heritage. ;-)

My Escutcheons are cracked at their leading edge. If anyone wants to donate theirs.......

I'm not cheap, it's just that I don't like the appearance of the carbonfibre ones.

Hmmm. That's a lot of effort and time. But the tip about the right shade of paint makes me wonder whether to buy carbon escutcheons and paint them.

If I can't find replacements, at least I now have options.

I think most of us are replacing our plastic escutcheons with CF ones because our plastic ones are cracked. I've done a reasonable glue job on mine several times but the cracks still come back.

Bollocks! (That must be OK, they say it on Radio 4)

And I'm too late to order a pair and paint 'em up.

Let me restate my begging grovelling plea for someone's old ones, then.

All have now paid thank you and I've transferred the money to the supplier who has already paid for the parts. The supplier has my address details and will send all 12 sets to me. I'll post with an update either when I'm told the parts have been shipped or certainly once they arrive, I'll then arrange onward distribution. I'm running a small spreadsheet to keep track of costs charges and shipping etc and will provide a copy with the parts so you can see exactly what you've paid for.

The supplier collected the parts but noticed a difference in finish on one of them and took it back. The factory apologised profusely and will remake the part. They will be sent to me next week and I'll post to let you that they are on their way and/or arrived with me.

Parts have been shipped. Should arrive in UK some time next week. I'm at Le Mans from next Tuesday evening until the following Monday so won't be able to get onto the distribution until I return.
