I want to change the gear knob since it is very worn out. Can someone please point me out how to do it? Is it by unskrewing? I've tried but I didn't want to force it too much... Thanks

There is a tiny (3mm?) hex screw at the front of the knob that must be unscrewed before you can unscrew the knob.

could you do me a favour?
when you have the original knob off....can you measure the diameter of the gear lever itself.....the size and pitch of the thread and also the length of the thread......on the gear stick bit...
cheers

IIRC the thread is M10x1.25p. Lever Dia is bigger - probably Dia 12mm but easy to check as the boot just slides down it - I'll nip out and have a look
Checked and it is 13mm Dia
