Exhaust manifold.

It appears i have a cracked exhaust manifold, & from what ive read & heard its probably not worth welding it as a long term solution, so does anybody know if these are still available at a better price than £185 that SJ's have them from. Anywhere in the US ?
JPS M100 was built from bare chassis up to create one off M100 in the mould of JPS Team Lotus

Paul - it may be a bit of a bodge, but as you know, they are thin on the ground at a sensible price.......
I sandblasted mine back to a dull grey cast iron colour, then chased the cracks out a bit with a mini grinder (stops them spreading), then filled the gaps with 'chemical metal'.
That was 18 months ago, and when i took it off this week it is still holding strong.
It must be a common problem, Iains (blacknight) was cracked in the same place when we took it off this week, and also my spare one is like it.

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it
...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

Thats most kind Sy, i have actually got one to put on Blacky ( from SBK's S2 ), but was looking for a good/new one to put back on the S2 engine, as i intend to rebuild this & install in the future.
If yours is a spare one Sy, i'll take it for an engine full of Mobil 1 with pleasure

Aha - chance to use a new acronym. Mine is far from new Paul, in fact it's as RAF.

Ok Sy, that sounds fine then, when ive finished all these alterations to the house i'll contact & arrange pick up if thats ok with you ?

Well, whoever's fault it is, I'm sure I'll get the blame
Either way, i fixed mine with the bodge as earlier described - so I'd rather it went to someone who actually needs a good one!!!!!
