I've just noticed that I have been upgraded to "Enthusiast".

I presume this happens automatically after 100 posts.
I feel this upgrade is undeserved and unwarranted, especially considering that most of my posts have been general and impart no knowledge of the car. I hope I don't even pretend to have any great knowledge.
Mods, please, if possible, put me back to where I feel I belong i.e. a Tinkerer

and, to be honest, that's probably an overstatement !!

Roly oh Roly
I know sweet FA about anything technical as 2400 LECers will testify, but I became a god, a mod and a Lotus thingy wotsit.
It's all about recognition of whatever your input is, and your love of the marque. Don't knock it, go with the flow and enjoy the ride.

My god status has nothing to do with mechanical prowess, or engineering knowledge.

OK Dave. Thanks. I'll interpret it as being enthusiastic rather than knowing anything.
Still feel a bit of a fraud though !!

...Brown nosed ar$e licking sycophant.......

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it
...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

Hmmm. I think you missed out "grovelling" between licking and sycophant.

I'm well old enough to have been called a lot worse than that !!

Nice !! but I don't think I should push it, do you?
I think this thread should end here on a low note !!

It's more of a forum credit than an Elan credit. There is a 4wd M100 driving about but the modifier isn't on this forum neither are any of my mechanics; who are awesome! and would laughably be called Tinkerers with a certain amount of posts.
If you are a fraud then what am I with 'God' status.

Now there's something I'd like to see.
