Leather Seats

Postby Freelander » Thu 12.06.2008, 14:43

Hi
The leather seats in my Elan are looking their age and need a refurb. They are not split but the leather is showing surface cracks / dry / dirty. Anyone have experience / recommendations for cleaning / 'feeding' products?

Thanks

I have heard that "Liquid Leather" is very good.
I have not tried it yet, but do have some on order.

I use the glyptone 'liquid leather' on mine all the time......
its propper good stuff......

I use the cleaner and the conditioner......

you might want to have a look at woolies (no not woolworths) as they do colour kits to redye your leather back to its original colour.....

give it a claen and condition with liquid leather and then recolour with woolies

Liquid leather is good - I did the steering wheel for the first time last weekend as it was feeling a bit 'sticky' and it's come up a treat.

I wonder if there are any opportunities for a Group buy or LEC discount here? I've emailed Woolies to check.

I notice on the Woolies site: "Send a sample of leather (or vinyl) for colour matching (unless black) and we will mix renovator to match."

- But how do I get a sample of my red or grey without snipping a hole in the leather somewhere??
Regards

Thanks for the advice.

I decided on the Gliptone option and found a special offer on Gliptone G12 Cleaner 250ml + G11 Conditioner 250ml for £9.00 = £11.50 including postage from www.thepolishingshop.co.uk.
