Think I'd need several to practice on if I were to try and get fancy with masking different colours!!

Is that previous pic I posted even a pistachio one or is it a yellow one?

It's yeller (and from Pi$$ed on heads or classicarsforsale. It looks fabulous in moustachio green - GST has had one in his workshop for best part of 3 years awaiting refurb. I try to buy it at least twice a year too,

Kier

I always thought Scandal Green was non metallic, but looks like I could be wrong. I will try to confirm for you.

Can I ask any of you looking at this thread to help me out with my specific question about Pistachio Green in the help required section? I want as much feedback on the colour before I order the paint, which I hope to do Wednesday lunchtime.

So I've done the toy, now for the real thing.

Re-spray this week assuming the weather stays dry and mild!

No offense, but if it comes out looking like what I see on my computer screen, I think you'll need to keep a supply of Dramamine in the glove box. The Lambo color looks pretty good, and the Isotope is OK, too, but that? Is that Pistacio?

I'm really suprised.

The painted model looks very good...

Didn't think I would like the colour...

Chris, I can't make out from your post if you like it not?

Yeah that's the Lotus Pistachio Green, it was one of the least popular colours when Lotus were producing cars in that colour. I guess back in the olden days folk weren't ready for such bright colours on cars.

Anyway no offence taken, I'm sure it's going to have its fans and its haters!

ps I had to Google Dramamine to see what it was, never heard of it before!

Stevo, I have to agree. I'm looking into a re-trim of my seats, and I've decided against having them done up with red for the center, seating surface, because that would spoil my chances for re-spraying the car orange in the future.

BTW, what's that in the grass? Is it a child's bed, styled as an Elan?

I like your orange too, but I wanted to go for something different rather than the same colour as yours. You and tweet will be able to have your own section in the Donny convoy next year by the sounds of it!

Paint is on, however it took a lot longer to prep than planned so I have left the Elan back at my parents to let the paint harden, had to get back to work this week. Going back on Saturday to cut and polish it and put the rest of the bits back on. Will add some more pics when it's back together.
