What numbers?

About the wheels ...
Do you mean the wheels on my design (Esprit-Look) idea?
That's the OZ Superleggera III ( http://www.ozracing.com/at-team/wheels/ ... era-iii/en )
I stole the idea from the Esprit V8 ;)

Or do you mean the wheels in my first post (pic of my first Elan)?
Thats the ACE Speed 17" i had these on my first Elan. I sold them with the car and at this moment ACE sold out this model ... :(

Well well Xiphias...
Your Elan plans sound excellent! I realy like the Rims in the first picture. What are they exactly?

I hope to see the Elan "live" soon. Plan's for visiting my Belgian friends are evolving.
Of course visit with the Elan, not the old Suzuki Swift ;-) :censored:

For this I have to install Samco Hoses, find the leak in my coolant system (probably from the drainplug in the radiator), Find the leak in my oil system, Changed the bung seal but CAS not yet so it is most likely to leak here... But in order to align tha CAS i then have to buy a timing lamp first..... I'm afraid i won't be on time for the "mossellen"! (that's clammshells for all you foreigners ;-)

Keep us posted!

I am confused.....the rims in the very first pic are the standard lotus 15" rims!!!!!!.......
I suppose Im therefore presuming you have different rims...either that or you didnt mean the first pic :-D

Do you mean the double five-spoke? Thats my previous Elan, and the wheels where ACE Speed, but the ET was wrong (45).
The ET was wrong and I wont do that again, the handling was so messedup... but the looks are so good.
Now at this moment for me the looks are not important, my first concern is to technically tune the Elan to a better car.
I did some trackdays already and I can mess with the bigg guys... I can easly follow Exige S and porsches ...

But I have a problem with my braking, I think I have an overheating problem. Maybe other wheels (more open space) will help and i'm studying of it would be possible to get cold air from the front bumper to the brakes... But this story will continue ...

Normally i will at the "mosselen-diner" so we can meet  maybe I will be there with the Elan.

Wich Samco Hoses do you get? I need them also, but I ran out of budget at the moment. Maybe next year ... :poke:

Wrong ET... Too bad! Won't mess with that either.
Do you have track experience with the stock brakes?
I didn't know there are different set's of hoses from Samco? Or did you mean the colour?

I know but the stock wheels are so deep under the car, the look sucks.

HJ2 wrote:Do you have track experience with the stock brakes?

dont-start !

Brakes on the Elan are so cheap, so bad, so scary!
For track use you need at least extra vented disks, racing pads, brakelines and raceoil.

HJ2 wrote:I didn't know there are different set's of hoses from Samco? Or did you mean the colour?

The color and a full set?

"slow" driving on the Circuit of Spa-Franchorchamps ...

It was VERY wet and slippery because the rubber from a previous race.
We had fun but it was SO dangerous. +15 cars went off with hughe damage so it WAS scared.

In this round U will see 2 other cars went of the circuit. (Elise MKII and Exige MKI)

Annyone know why I have that weird sound when I shift on high revs?
The exhaust?
