but again...WOW!!!

, you wouldn't want to test the handling of your zuzu against the Elan surely, AWD or not ?
why not, haven't you heard..."Suspension Tuned by Lotus" plus, it's rear biased at a 57/43 split and not like you can drift your M100 without the e-brake

Uhu. I've driven an RS. There's NO comparison in handling or acceleration. One word: weight. The laws of physics weren't made by, and can't be altered by, man.
You will disallusion him Matt !, i was just gonna let him keep dreaming

Let me have my pipe dream!!!

i'm not sure exactly what the m100 weighs but the RS is only 2700lbs. i think the lotus is around 2400-2500lbs and it's not like i'm sitting on a stock RS. i have done some work to it (Tbird, 1.8 cams, .050" over, 9.4:1 compression, etc).
and if math doesn't lie then the RS isn't far in the power to weight ratio (2450/160=
15.3lbs/hp vs 2732/160=
17.1lbs/hp ). i would love to cruise with you boys though!!!!

It's not like many of use are sitting on stock cars. There's a plethora who have stopped at the (chipped) ECU limit of .9x bar. Others have, to varying degrees, lightened their vehicles.
I deigned to have an exhaust constructed out of stainless after I lifted like pipe to another & felt the weight to be about 1/3. (the guage is thinner but that's industry standard) Lighter weight overall, totally removed from the concept of lbs/hp, makes for a more interactive & rewarding driving experience.
Strive for perfection in everything. (given time)
Take the best that exists & make it better. (given inclination)
If it doesn't exist, create it. (God did)
Ignore what I say. (good advice)

IIRC the Elan is 1080kg so that`ll be 2380lb (1kg = 2.2lb)
so that`ll make yours 1224kg and at 140kg heavyer would make quite a difference to power and handling. The M100 is classed as a heavy weight in the Lotus world lol S1 Elise is approx 700kg

what!! red calipers on Stripey?? what have you been smoking??
the Wilwoods should perform 98% as well as the Brembos, so what's the reason??

Don't worry Doug. Those are only for the front. I'll keep the back yellow.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Doug. Only one thing for it - a beautiful white Elan in FL looking for a home in the wine country. Make your own beauty!

Don't worry Doug. They're getting powdercoated in yellow and will have a BREMBO etched on the side for that name apeal as well as just plain shock.
Nothing wrong with Wilwoods...your right. I had a set of 6 pistons on my 'Ghini. The only real + to the Brembos as I've experienced is incedible feel and great repeated stopping force from extreme speed allowing me to brake later, longer and still be able to drive home from the track and not have to change my pads to a street compound. That and dust seals.
Must....................Go...............Faster

Yes, only the front. The parts are still with the lady

I'll have them powdercoated one of these days.
