Has anyone got a spare set of Oil Cooler Pipes, old or new laying around that I could borrow and use as a template. So I can get a set made up from s/s Braided hose without having to remove mine from the car, keeping it off the road for a while.
I will return either by post or in person at the 60th anniversary.

Cheers Gary

Probably, but can you post a pic of the ones you mean just so that I can make sure?

Gary,
I ain't got any, but have you tried Pirtek?
They do a mobile pipe making/fitting service (Geoff has used them for PAS pipes).

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it
...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

Cheers for the replies lads.
Neil if you go into the Elan parts manual, under cooling system, page 337. They are the only 2 pipes that attach to the oil cooler and then go somewhere else
Unless someone can post this picture for me

Any sign of these pipes or anyone else?
Geoff, I have asked Sinclaires about discounts but to no avail I'm afraid. So once they are done you will be able to order through them.
Still need to get a price for Ailwyn, once I have the pipes in my hand.
Cheers, Gazza

I think I have the pipes you need I had them changed a few years ago, don,t know why. I tried to look at the pics but just got mush, probably my fault. Ill check the manual to double check if they are the ones. There yours to borrow if they are.

The hoses are an 8AN with a 14 mm banjo fitting on the cooler side. The car side has a funky hydraulic fitting on it. Should be an easy fab

Why is nothing easy?
The company Sinclaires are using to get these pipes made in Braided are having problems. Something to do with the fact they need to keep the metal pipe which is causing problems. They can't take these pipes apart because they are not mine, they are Ade's.
Why can't these pipes be flexible with just new fittings on the end, do they have to have a ridged pipe one end?
