Jon,

I think we probably bought the same diploma in tact and diplomacy from the same university.com. In your case though, I'd seriously consider asking for a refund.

I was trying to be helpful.

I don't like it, just as I don't like Subarus, roast lamb or Status Quo.

But I'd always say that if you're going to eat roast lamb, then mint sauce (or jelly) does go quite well with it, along with some nice new potatos.... (and I'm not mad on those, either!)

And I do think that more modern wheels and rear lights would set off this 'modern' look.

The cap is a bit of teasing, obviously.

In any case, I have a doctorate, not merely a degree.... ;-)

It's certainly not awarded for diplomacy or tact though.
I guess that's what it takes to be an award winning Journo. aye Dr Jon?

If Geoff has a degree in diplomacy in tact, then I have a doctorate.....

In the real world, as you might surmise, I'm too second rate to be a PhD (as my tutor at Uni implied when we were discussing postgraduate options!), so I only have an honours degree - and it ain't even Oxbridge.....

Well, I do have a doctorate (gained during my 28 years in the Royal Air Force) and mine's in BS and Bollockspeak.
So I'm over qualified to write aviation articles.

I went to a different campus in a similar university, and i'm sure some of the teaching methods would have been the same - the qualification looks identical :D

Will be doing the SE wheels Anthracite for the time being as I can't really afford S2 wheels as well, what with the new interior I've already got and the new hood I'm geting next month. New wheels will have wait!

Sy,

"Well, I do have a doctorate (gained during my 28 years in the Royal Air Force) and mine's in BS and Bollockspeak. So I'm over qualified to write aviation articles."

I don't think there's an aviation/defence journo out there who doesn't have at least a Doctorate in talking bollocks. I have awards for it. You need to be a special kind of BS artist to make it in my business, though I can see how tempting it is for amateur bull-shitters - especially those who have qualifications in niff naff and triv from Sleaford Tech (Cranwell) - to think they could do it. :P

Kier,

It doesn't look like an Elan. It looks like a pretty Elise. I'm not being pejorative or derogatory, but you have made the car far more contemporary, 'fashion' and 'in yer face' (vulgar would be too derogatory a word to use). I don't like it, but many will think it's the mutt's nuts.

Here are some more pics. Still needs a few things done and as already said previously in this thread, it'll look better when the wheels are done, but it's taking shape.

Nice, but I think the back would look better with the original orange indicators. Or you can smoke them? I think U can use some more contrast ...

But in the front the clear indicators are doing well.

Cheers. In the second picture down you can see they look a little smoked already (the orange indicators didn't go with the pistachio colour in my opinion). I think once the wheels are re-done a darker colour, that will darken the overall look of the car.

Correct, the pictures are not all the same on lightning ...
On the second picture it looks better ...
I would make them darker or maybe red in case of amber (orange).
Maybe you can do some picture tuning?

But hey, i't your car ... I just make some suggestions.
