N/A Replacement Exhaust

Greetings,

I'm relatively new to the joys of elan ownership and am busy depleting my bank balance as part of the fun. My latest requirement is for a new exhaust system, however, as the owner of an N/A (will provide details for Clemo's register shortly) I understand that a PECO system is out of the question. Does anyone have suggestions as to what my options are (e.g types, prices and stockists) as internet searching reveals very little regarding N/A exhaust availability?

Unless Clemo has any ideas your best bet may be to ask the standard list of dealers what they have down as s/s replacements then research on internet for best prices.

Can`t see no reason why a Peco can`t be used, but obviously you`ll need some one to custom made you a front pipe to join on to the peco

I have just replaced mine.

Not that many options unfortunately.

Quicksiver - Standard and sports (expensive)
I spoke to PECO. They confirmed the exhaust would be no good for NA
Eventually I got an SS sports exhast custom made and fitted in SS at a local garage for £350.

DONT PANIC - read the Peco thread - we are discussing the NA option with Piper Cams & Exhausts -they have indicated their willingness to design and build an NA specific system - should be cheaper than a 'purpose made'

If we can see both cars together, one NA and one Turbo then we can see what the differences are and go from thier. Looking at the pictures and as other members have said, they look the same from the centre back so should just be a different front section. Not too hard to make this then.
