Hit profile at top of the page to open the user control panel, then select the profile tab and edit signature.

I have one PM in my inbox and one New PM that I can't read because I get "NO_AUTH_READ_HOLD_MESSAGE"

Me too! Delete some messages and away you go (until the next time it's full!)

1. The URL pop up box has gone - back to hand cranking?
2. The search facility is not the same as the trial run (which was much improved) e.g. searching for "Wilwood" returns two matches from 2005!

The e-mail notification of PMs does not identify the sender.

Like this?
Hello Dave Eds,
You have received a new private message from "GeoffSmith" to your account
on "Lotus Elan Central" with the following subject:

To avoid confusing the potatoes, GeoffSmith should have wrote:The e-mail notification of PMs does not identify the sender in the Subject line which is very useful when scanning for a PM.
It used to say "New Lotus Elan Central Private Message from Dave Eds"
I now says "New private message has arrived"
It also used to include the text of the PM in the e-mail but does not now.

Is it just me, or is there no longer a way to e-mail other members?
I've checked that the profile allows e-mail contact, but can't see any buttons for it?

Can't answer that. And I have another question - how long does a topic that you've just read stay blue before disappearing out of the list altogether, and is there a page where you can set your preference for this?

Nice one guys!
Is there an equiv to the old 'view new posts' button?
I can see + View unanswered posts • View active topics but I don't think these are the same??
I always used the old button to see anything I hadn't read since loggin on last.
Apologies if I'm being a numpty!

In the top left-hand corner of the Main Index page for me it reads:
"View unanswered posts • View new posts • View unread posts • View active topics"
Alternatively try copying and pasting this link:

View new posts = shows the list of posts since your last visit (read & unread)
View unread posts = posts that you've not read, regardless of when you last logged on - this is the equivalent of the search on the old forum
