Had my car on a rolling road.

It only made 166 BHP.

I have the BBR kit on which should make it 205 BHP.

The problem is that since fitting the LGM intake pipe I have found I have a leak.

I am going to look into getting better clamps than Jubilee clips.

I had the same problem with my GTiR when I raised the boost to 1.4 bar. It kept blowing the pipes off my intercooler.

I think it might be a good idea for the guys who are fitting LGM turbo upgrade too.

I am thinking of going for MIKALOR or SUPRA clips or similar.

Anyone else any thoughts.

Cheers

Tony

Abmunro, although I am a sucker for upgrades, standard "jubilee" (what a festive name for hose clamps!) clips tightened sufficiently should hold in the boost. You'd be amazed the number of boost leaks I cured by tightening all the clamps on a twin-turbo Maserati.

That said, if your jubilee has gone rust or bust, it's time to throw money at it!

Make sure you adjust the BOV as well. They are set with a fairly low activation preasure.

I have tried to tighten them to no avail.

Will have a look at BOV.

Hello Marie

Could you give me all the pipe diameter's so I can order some Mikalor's to replace Jubilee clips.

I am offshore so can't measure them

Thanks

Latest update: I'll give it until the end of tomorrow for White91Elan to contact me, then the BOV will go to the next taker, since it's been a little while now.

Please let me know also if you hear from Ailwyn lately, or if you could help contacting him. Thank you.

Just a reminder of a request I made some time ago for unpolished pipes, so I can have them painted or anodized black. No problem if the work has been done already.

thanks

Ekapol, not sure who else is in the queue if white 91 can't be found but without wishing to jump ahead of anyone I'd be interested if there is a spare available.

I've now fitted and tested the BOV, wound up the nut about 1.5 turns, doesn't leak at all under boost, but I do get blow off even at low throttle levels when I back off... should I be tightening any more or is this an expected behaviour.

Thanks

Sounds perfectly normal to me. I think the rise in pressure in the intake as you close the throttle even at low levels is enough to cause the dumpvalve to operate. I have not recirculated my current dump valve since I changed my airbox earlier this year and because I can now hear the dump valve it is clear it operates under all conditions.

Just going slightly off topic. But i received a tax duty bill of £48 via DHL today for the BOV and pipe received a few months back.Has anyone else in the group buy received the same?
Getting a bit worried now as to how much the Duty will be on the Turbo Intake pipe due to be despatched shortly
Is there a way we can avoid so much Duty, perhaps recording less value or a gift on customes forms?
It just seems such a shame when the likes of LGM ,Ekapol etc put so much time and effort into group buys only for customes to take a large slice of it!!
Rant over,
Roger

i had to pay 82 euro duty/import tax on the Bov
i told Ekapol about it and next they will mark it as ''gift''
and hopefully use the noraml post service
not DHL or any other delivery companie
also the fact that they marked as BOV ....witch means 'carparts' increased the tax by a craesy amount

I've just received something similar.
I thought it was for something that someone had posted to me by accident, because it said on it "blow off valve and hoses", but I never bought a BOV. So they're trying to charge me for duty on something that I never actually had!
