left side rear bumper fallen an inch down

[rushing]

Hi

i have noticed my rear bumper fallen an inch down to one side - passenger side . its still very stable and i could drive the car. i think one of the brackets probably have come lose . does anyone know, how i should go about fixing this.? im thinking of taking it to a garage .

Does the car have to be lifted and how the hell do you find or get through to the bolts. one garage i took it to said they would not have the parts ??? i thought these are held by clips of some sort . any suggestions please ??i know its not a big job is it

thanks

IIRC the the bolts are fixed/bonded to the bumper and pop through on the inside of the boot and can be go to by lifting out the carpet, see if you can tighten them up if not it may be the bolts have come away from the bumper, which will mean removing bumper and rebonded in to place

thanks mate , i will try and lift the carpet to have a look. could not see it the other day.

IIRC there is a bracket at each end of the bumper, where it wraps around from the back. You can see/access after removal of the arch liner....
