i decided to try to sort out my heater control yesterday, long story short ive realy buggered up my dash, but im throwing it back together as its my only car and i need it running by 6pm tonight. the bit im stuck with is the temp control, the metal bar that clips in. Does anyone have any tips on getting it back in place? im struggling to get my arms through either the headunit aperature or through the glove box access.

After struggling at playing amateur gynaecologists, someone told me you can remove a panel at the LHS of the footwell which gives better access. Don't know if it will help you but it's worth a try.

Just removed mine went in through the glove box aperture... flicked it off with my thumb...
I felt more like a vet than anything... I'll have a look now as the whole dash is out and see if I can give you a toilet...(Something to go on)

Just had a look and there's not really another way...
I guess you need to be 6ft tall with thin arms...
and have the seat out so you can lay on your back...
Sorry I couldn't help more...

There's no hatch...
Not unless it's in the floor pan/tunnel...

thanks for the help guys, i botched it all back together, there heater controler doesnt work ie it doesnt change where the air comes out of, the temp control isnt hooked up and after taking the girlfriend home it appears its stuck on cold, but thats easy enough to sort, i managed to brake a bracket off the facia just above the speedo, havnt wired my headunit back up and i now have to hold down my indicator if i want to turn left.... right is fine, lol. im in a worse situation than when i started. the best bit i spent 3 hours trying to get a hidden screw back it, and it turns out it was the wrong screw. maybe i should leave this to people who know what theyre doing.
