Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace, sounds caress my ears but not a word I heard could I relay, the story was quite clear - Robert Plant

Don't understand that...another expensive limited-run car? After the debacle that was the 340R, I'd have thought that Lotus would be focusing on bigger markets.

The 340R was a good car (I very nearly bought one last year) but those original buyers getting one as an "investment" got their fingers badly burned. Then the cars had lots of niggling issues to be sorted before the cars were "right", and ultimately had a very poor engine mapping unless you spent more money and got a new ECU.

Radical showed Lotus how to make and sell a trackday car for £30,000-£50,000. I expect the price of this Lotus trackday thing is going to come in at around £30,000. For that sort of money (or less) there are a *lot* of sweet-handling more powerful cars than this. This may be a "halo" car for Lotus, but I can't see them making a profit on it.
