Well Mate,
A lot of time has gone in to this forum, but you know I think it is just to over the top.
Whats all these smileys crap, and all the stuff you get when you read a reply on the forum, and wow is the reply full of, this is my car, lots of other people fitted stuff for me.
OK, I might be wrong here but there was good stuff on the site an people new what they wanted, but at the moment it looks like its all Americam raz ma taz and car polishing.
Tell me about getting down to some proper stuff like, let's get the clutch out, lets fix the exhaust not what polish should I put on the darn thing and do my wheels look big in this.

GP, you are obviously new to this; but if you ask me, there is some seriously technical discussions going on here--certainly more intense than on the old board.
You do HAVE TO LOOK in the forum to see them though!
I don't recall anything about polishing, and I believe most people do their own work and upgrades here as well. If you have questions then post them, and you will be pleasantly surprised how helpful Elan owners are. If you want people blowing smoke and talk about how much people spent, I suggest you check out any BMW board.

Agree with you Doug.

But... GP, remember that this site is an Elan M100 enthusiasts site, and that to me means that it doesn't matter what level of technical knowledge or abilities you have, if you've got something to say that's in any way related to the Lotus Elan M100 you can put it here. If no one's interested, you soon find out by the big fat '0' in the "Replies" column ;)

I personally am not that technically minded, but there are a handful of owners who post here who are nothing short of astounding in the technical area. You won't be disappointed :o

P.S. I use Autogylm polish on mine ;)

AndyV

Dave, if you're referring to the "view last 20 posts" on the main page, I haven't forgot! I am working on it but have not been told by the programmer gods yet how to do it--my question has been ignored. I am no computer expert so I'll keep trying.

8)

Great work to see the forum back up & running and one of the few positives to find on return from hols...

Unfortunately I seem to have been lost from the original forum users list - not to worry, have re-registered and am back in the fold.

Keep up the great work Doug & co.

The feature on the old forum was "last 10 posts" and clicking the link would take forever and a day to display the results. This forum has a different featured called "New Posts since last visit" simply click that, top right hand side of the forum index, or here http://www.lotuselancentral.com/forum/s ... d=newposts.

This feature will show everything posted to since you last visited, but the speed at which it comes back at is far better than the last 10 posts feature.

I was just at step 2 of my LEC-withdrawal program, and now I am sucked back in. Trying to kick an addiction is for quitters... Thank you all so much for the work put in to bring this back, and thanks for giving me a place of refuge in the interim, TS!
