Does anyone know if the Peco flexi section is specific or a generic part ? Mine was grounded quite badly when I got the car so I'd like to replace it if possible.

It was manufactured by Peco - you might be able to contact Cybox on eBay.

I wonder if a skid/bash plate could be fabricated to protect it?
There are available fixing holes nearby (at the centre of the front undertray) and it's not like it needs to be a complicated shape...
In fact if it was a tad wider it could protect the sump too. Hey, we could be onto something here!

Were it not for the double skinned sump pan I'd be replacing that too 
not that it was my driving that's done the damage.
When I replace the flexi section I'll have a poke around and maybe make up a template pattern for a potential guard if it looks possible.

I have the same problem with mine,
The Flexi section sits lower than the chassie and therefore gets the odd bang, Mine is alittle damaged but at least I now know that I can get a replacement.
