CAS Question

Postby HJ2 » Tue 06.01.2009, 16:26

Just now i removed my CAS to swap the seal before it gives problems. (The bung seal did...)
As i held the unit in my hand and rotate the axle, it doesn't run smooth all the way round. Ik feels like it is hanging a bit in every rotation.

Is this intentional, or are my bearings gone? If so, is it possible to swap them, or do i have to deliver 10.000 papers to afford a complete new unit?

Please advise  :? :?:

Does the stiffness coincide when one of the slots matches with any of the sensors??

From memory when I last had the CAS off there was a change in the feel of the CAS when rotating due to one of the magnetic pickups.

I'll check it out in a moment.
But that has to be one hell of a magnet...

:agree: Mine was very lumpy too but quite normal for a variable reluctance pickup I think.
