I'd like a stock gearknob that isn't as ratty as mine.
I tried a shiny Elise sperical one - it doesn't fit, and probably wouldn't suit my interior anyway.

SJ's sell the stock leather gear knob for about 40 GBP +vat, and a Momo one for about 33 GBP. Don't know how much you're wanting to pay.

Do they, by gum? I didn't think they had any 'real ones' in stock?
And £50.00 (shipped and Vatted) seems just a tad more than I'd really want to pay.......
There is a Momo one that looks the same, but I'd rather have the real thing.

thought of getting it recovered?
the leather would cost nowt so it'll be a time thing......maybe a couple of hours

just a thought

I'll do some reseach...
I'll try for under £30, be it OEM or GM, new or yours repaired. (Identical thou)
Start an intrest list subject to all the usual stuff. If it goes ahead I think a Kind mod will relocate this to a new home.

2: Pinky - would need an outright buy as no original one to re-cover

Yes and no...
I went to vauxhall and they told me the gear knob was off a Carlton, but I think they may be mistaken...
The search still continues...
Lotus have squillions...
They buy them in...
but they are selling on adverage two to three a month... So that means they won't be in the next aftersales in the middle of the year...
I'm sending a gearknob to Mel at Hethel next week to see what they can do
