DIY Ignition Leads

Just called Lotus to get a price for a new set of HT Leads and I was staggerred at the £95 price tag. Paul Matty is not much better.

I only have one faulty lead and wonder if it is possible to buy the wire itself and use the existing ends, which are both ok. Attatching the wire to the ends is simple enough, if I can buy some.

kingsborne 8mm.....cant remember the colour tho.....
I also had mine shipped so got stuck with taxes.....
think I paid about £50~£60 for 2 sets all in......
so it'll be about £25~£30 if that sounds ok....

Was really looking for a cheap fix, but sounds too good to miss assuming everyone has found them ok. My car is totally standard and want to keep things that was so assume too that I dont need other mods. All things being equal, consider them sold. How would I get/pay for them? I have a Manchester and also a Halifax address.

i've been quite pleased with the 8mm Kingsborne leads. note the do not fit in the stock 7mm separators but if the kit in question is one of the lot I hauled over last year it includes a new set of separators.

Thanks for that, I was wondering about the seperators having read some previous threads on your shopping trip. Just waiting for elanman to reappear from his garage, hopefully with my new wires!!

Ive just got to remember which cesare ardered and which are mine...
1 red 2 blue.....IIRC I got one of each so now I just need to decide what colour I want

Hmmm....think Id prefer blue. Will contrast far better with BRG than red dont you think?? Whilst red looks real nice against yellow!!

On the other hand..red would look pretty good too, so in all honesty Id be happy with either colour
