Andy,

Sounds like you're having trouble staying connected to your wireless router (which is beyond our control).

Also sounds like you have two wireless routers in close proximity, perhaps there is interference between them? Are they set to different channels (see your router manual)?

Try boosting the signal power of your main router to max (see your router manual).

Signal strenth goes and speed drops from 54 down to 0.1.link breaks shortly after. In order to get back on line. Ive either been switching off and re logging on .Or when it lets me i quickly change from Sky to Belkin which has a week signal and then back to sky This seems to put the speed and signal back up.

Your signal strenght drifting and your computer having to reconnect to the router is NOT going to be LEC specific, nor anything that we can look at. Try connecting your PC/laptop to the router via a wired connection, see if things improve - this would eliminate your wireless connection as the issue (I suspect this is the problem)

Your LEC settings are correct, Flash off, BBCode on.

Perhaps you perception is that it's an LEC issue because you spend a larger proportion of time on this site?

Clearing the cookies will only help if you have issues logging into the forum... from your description you are having problems connecting to the site.

As for the PC clean-up software, you can probably get stuff to do the same for free... search for "Search & Destroy" this is a free program for removing all sorts of crap from your system... I'm sure there will be more suggestions from others too.

Finallyfast advertise as free on TV. When i enter LEC on Google i go to the white page .Its only when i try to log on to LEC.The only way to get on to LEC is to go through Lotus central. And then through their link to LEC.IT only happens with LEC .I can get anything else. Max

Google LEC.jpg

This is what I get when I search google.

The links in purple are the one's I visited... all came up without delay or issue, including the ones to the forum (Board Index, Donations).

I still maintain that this is either an issue with your set-up or your ISP, the former being the most likely candidate.

If anyone else is having the same problem then we will investigate further, but all indicators are that the site is up, running, and behaving as expected.

I've not heard of FinallyFast before so can't comment, but for something that is supposedly free they must be making money somewhere to afford to advertise on TV.

The sheep worrier is correct. FinallyFast will scan your system as many times as you want for free, but you have to pay to fix the faults. It didn't throw up anything on mine that would be causing it to run slow or drop sessions as you are experiencing although the report of a few hundred 'errors' might be startling to the untrained eye. I would go with Ailwyn suggestion of trying it with a cable (or try sitting right next to the router) as it looks like you're getting interference from something close by.

We have tried to register with E-Bay. When we use our Email address E- bay tells us we already have an account. Having never signed up before we are not sure how. When we ask for our code words and pass to be re sent to our E mail address it says it has sent them. When we check our Email nothing. When we try asking again. EBay say its already sent. Where to go from here? Can we buy as a guest on Ebay? Max & Andy

Sounds like a problem with your wireless setup (signal strength relates to that). Are you only getting these problems on LEC or on all sites? Do you need to go wirelesss, i.e., are you using a laptop or a PC some way from your broadband socket?

No we haven't been wireless for a wile. We have tried the joining route a few times. We just keep going in circles. E bay say the have re sent the codes and we cant get passed that. We keep checking the mail but nothing. We have tried to set up another email address. I think we might of done that but when we try to get into it, it sends us to the original Email address. I think we are going to have to get some lessons. Andy
