.... for the first person who can send me a genuine ElanScan log that records an engine speed above 6375 RPM.

Presumably because ElanScan registers data overflow at 6375 RPM.

Scaling factor = 25 RPM per bit
0xFF = 255
255 x 25 = 6375
0xFF = 255
