new sub forums?

Just a thought as there's a whiff of change in the air...

I'd love to see a couple of new sub forums: Track days & Touring.

I'm hoping to do a few of the former and would like read experiences of both the car & events, and have already done a couple of long distance driving holidays, the first to Marseilles I documented already, and more recently 4 days through Normandy and up the Loire. Again I'd like to read and contribute experiences, travel diaries, recomendations for great roads and routes, tips and possibly future plans (such as IoM).

Anyone else?

with you on the 'Touring' thing ........ Whilst track days probably aren't my thing ( as my driving style's more akin to 'driving Miss Daisy' than 'The Fast and The Furious' ) I would really like to take the Elan (and Tracey !) away for a few days, pottering around our 'green and pleasant land'. Folks on here must have a wealth of experience regarding things to see, places to visit, roads/routes, scenery, attractions, pubs/hotels/restaurants etc. etc.

Good idea. I'll leave track days where they are for the moment but happy to add a touring section. I plan on spending a little time this evening seeing if I can add new sections such as this.

First of all congratulations on your new role.

I may be alone here but in the technical section the most popular sub-forum, understandably, is "Suspension and Brakes".

Because of this, it now runs to 7 pages and is unwieldy to browse through on one topic or the other. Also the threads tend to be about one or the other. I think they are both big topics in there own right.

Is there a possibility of splitting it into two sub-forums, one for Suspension and one for Brakes?

Touring forum is now up in Non-Technical and appears to work ok.

Splitting suspension and brakes into seperate topics is a big and time consuming job, the idea has merit but I want to get the hang of some of the tools now at my disposal before I try to be too clever!
