I'm searching for a different (ie more reliable) bolt supplier at the mo. for the last of the bolt kits. Once I have them in hand the last of the turbos will ship. My current supplier is....... Well.......... Slow

Ive just been chatting to a guy in Edge performance in Aldershot. He was telling me, to get the intake hose in a colour other than red or blue there was a 20 week wait. That's Samco. Is that the norm? He also said the pipe going from the trash can to turbo would be quite a problem the turbo end. He said the pipe size needed to go on the turbo wasn't standard. I no it drops down in size but is there an adapter that fits from the trashcan size to the turbo size. I'm sure there in the photo's on here? A&M

LGM/Ekapol,

For those of us unfortunate souls who have not had a chance to get in on the LGM/Ekapol kits, can the specifications be provided so we can have a local fabricator make them up? Specifically, the kinds of info that would be helpful:
- The pipe outer diameter at the intercooler side
- The pipe outer diameter at the throttlebody side
- The dimension of the pipe from the intercooler side to the vertex of the elbow of the bend
- The dimension of the pipe from the vertex of the elbow of the bend to the throttlebody side
- The angle of the bend in the pipe
- The diameter of the BOV spur pipe
- The length of the BOV spur pipe
- Details of the flange at the end of the spur pipe (fabricator can probably just use the BOV itself to determine this)

Plus the other details to complete the kit, like:
- The Samco hoses to use (I think that is already listed elsewhere but would be great collected with the rest of the info)
- The specific BOV model to use (that is also listed elsewhere)

Ultimately the fabricator will use a mechanical drawing/sketch, so if this already exists it would provide all necessary info. Alternatively, I'd be happy to create one and upload it if the details are made available.

Knut

Hi Knut,

I believe most of the answers, including the samco hoses item numbers, are listed on page 2 of this thread. -- CLICK ME --

Some more information might be there on the page 3 also. Please feel free to let me know if you couldn't find some other specs and I will search them for you.

Happy driving,
Ekapol.

SAM -E90 - 25 Elbow 1" or 25mm Diameter 8" Long Re-director.

SAM -SR -63 -51 Reducer 63 to 51mm.

SAM E45 - 70 Elbow 2 3/4 or 70mm Diameter 10" Long.

We intend to try and make the bottom pipe and top pipe without the BOV and connector. Can someone direct us which pipe numbers go where?

We know we need 4. The top 25mm I'm thinking we don't need that one. A&M

I have had a local fabricator whip up an intake pipe for me and once I have confirmed proper fitment I'll post the dimensional drawings for others to use if they want to have a fabricator of their own make one. I got mine done in stainless with a welded elbow rather than a mandrel bent pipe to ensure smooth flow, and the setup is nicely brushed to a satin finish. When I post the dimensional drawings I'll post a pic in case anyone is interested. My local fabricator is not particularly busy lately, so if there is still a demand for intake pipes I could probably have him whip up a batch.

Now for the stupid question of the day -- for the 3/8" port on the backside of the BOV diaphragm, what is the preferred or most convenient place to route that to?

It probably looks stranbge for me to reply to my own message, but I thought I'd followup on my earlier note about posting drawings for the benefit of those that haven't gotten in on the previous deals.

The attached PDF file is the drawing I gave my local fabricator to make my intake pipe and below is a picture of the results. The fitment was fine and required only that the Samco 45 degree elbow hose be trimmed to proper length. Hope others might find this helpful.
