Speakers in the headrest

Postby Falco » Fri 08.05.2009, 19:50

I have just finished installing loudspeakers in the headrest. The result is exelent, and it is quite easy.

If anyone is interested, Iwill specify the procedure.

Kinda like the '84-'85 Pontiac Fiero was then.

See Here

Even better is if you've got it set up where each person can adjust their own seats level to their liking, individually.

I don't see how this arrangement would somehow damage your hearing. That would all depend on the volume level.

I thought about this kind of mod myself, when I first got the car. It wouldn't require near the power to be able to clearly hear the music with the top down. Didn't do it, though.

I installed them, so I don´t have to play so loud when the top is down. Secondly it is difficult to listen to the news and hear what they are saying.

So, yes, I am glad for my hearing ;-)

Nice discreet modification. Can you hear them OK through the leather?

I wondered that too. The Fiero's had holes.

My Mazda RX7 Turbo 2 ( Convertible ) had them as standard.

Simon designed the Roll Hoop cover to hold a speaker.

Yeah, but couldn't you have moved ET and his mate out of the way before taking the pic so that we could see the seats?
