Just had some paint & a small decraze done by Stock Coachwork nr. Chelmsford. Real nice job & nice people to do business with. Great Pub (The Viper) good for lunch ( & very decent beer)as well just down the road!
These guys advertise in Club Lotus mag & are Lotus specialists.

Had 3 craze lines about 6" each all adjacent -nr door lock repaired-- so door painted, part rear wing & hood cover. It was so new paint could be blended to old £300 + the dreaded VAT Dont know if this was alot or not but it was within what I was prepared to pay. Its a good job & thats the important thing.

Well I hope they are good as they have my boot and hood cover to paint, I did say I was not that concerned about an exact colour match to the rest of the car if he matches the colour of the current boot it will be close enough for the time being and then think about a respray later.
He did say a full respray was about 2k which I think is not that bad and I had been quoted by another paint shop £1500.00 just to do the panels he's doing.

Picked up the panels today from Stock Coachwork and I am more than happy with the results he’s done a very good job and you can not see where the hood marked the cover. All panels are nice and shiny, now to wait a couple of weeks to let the paint harden off well the hood cover any way and then fit them extremely carefully, scratches are not an option.
