I have left this a bit late! I hope to be taking the car to Le Mans in june and have as yet not started to look for breakdown cover.
Hs anyone any experience of short term cover in a twenty year old car?

Have you tried asking your insurance? Mine will do Euro recovery for £45 for a full year.

I use the German Insurer ADAC with their product ADAC Plus - which covers me and my wife/partner in any country in Europe (inc UK) - very comprehensive cover - inc hire cars hotels repatriation etc - it also includes free recovery of the Nurburgring

All that for less than 90 Euros per year - a bargain

I finally used RAC, booking on the phone.
£39 for 9 days. I thought that was cheap.
